Bio

Izbo is the music project of Lauren Guillory. Izbo's understanding of jazz came from her family's roots in Louisiana, but her affinity for electronic music flourished in her home state of Colorado. Her voice is influenced by soulful singers like Amy Winehouse, Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, and Christina Aguilera. Meanwhile, her taste for dance beats and house music is guided by Kaytranada, The Floozies, Ganja White Night, Sandunes, FKJ, PantyRaid, Flume, Aluna George, and Mark Farina.

In 2015, Izbo moved to Asheville, North Carolina to become the Business Developer and A&R executive for an independent record label. Her experience on the East Coast developed her ear and instilled a drive to become a recording artist herself.

Moving back home to Denver in 2017, she took her jazz pipes to CCM Recording Studios on Colfax and a few months later, her first single "Hey, Little Girl" was born.

In the end, Izbo looks to marry the steady grime of house music with the fluidity and soul of jazz. She takes the lead as a passionate vocalist who understands electronica on a deeply personal level. Her first EP titled "Corporate Dropout" will be released early 2019. Follow her on Instagram: @izbo_music

Lyrics

Hey, little girl
What you doin out in the street?
Why don't you come over here?
I know a place we can be

You got the money, honey
I got the time
Unwind
Grind
Dance
Groove
Boogie

Hey, little girl
Hey, little girl
Grab your little boys
And let's dance

Bring the beat back like
Bring the beat back like

I like your style
Hey, little girl

You've got that good good
I got the time
You've got that good good
I got the time

Hey, little girl
Life is fine a
And you're so sweet

Why don't you come over here
I know a place we can be

You got the money, honey
I got the time
Unwind
Grind
Dance
Groove
Boogie

Hey, little girl
Hey, little girl
Grab your little boys
And let's dance
